Julia is a Canadian Certified Pedorthist practicing in the Ottawa area since 2018. Originally from Nova Scotia, she grew up in the Annapolis Valley and was a competitive dancer, cheerleader and dabbler in a number of sports. After high school, she attended St. Francis Xavier University and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics with a minor in Biology in 2016. Upon graduating, she entered the Western University diploma in Pedorthics program to pursue her passion of helping others lead active, pain free lives. After completing the program, she officially became a Canadian Certified Pedorthist in December 2017.

Her professional focus is helping others recover from acute and chronic pain through the use of custom orthotics, footwear, lifestyle modifications, exercises, knee bracing and other recovery aides. While pursuing her passions within a Pedorthic scope, she really found those suffering with knee pain and instability required additional support in order to lead normal, pain free lives. She has since found tremendous success with fitting custom and off the shelf knee braces in order to help her patients dealing with chronic and acute knee issues live happier, healthier lives.

Outside of her career, she has a passion for health and fitness, dance, walking and hiking with her partner and their golden doodle puppy. She also enjoys visiting her family on the east coast whenever possible.
